Can't really recommend a specific brand, just look on ebay for ones. Get a regulator with a needle valve built in - saves a lot of hassle. Your bubble checker, drop checker etc. you can get cheap from china, but I would get a regulator from a seller in the US as this is the most important part of the system (apart from your canister) and it's almost impossible to get a refund or replacement from chine if something went wrong with it. Also look for a regulator with a solenoid built in, then you don't need to buy one separately. If you can't get one with it built in then don't worry, but it just makes life a bit easier, and we're all for that :p

Oh! Forgot to say, I looked up the blue eyed fork tails...I don't think those are the ones I was talking about.. This is what I was talking about...do you know anything about these? I think I would like to have somethingn besides tetras in this tank because I have heard they can be nippy? And they are so common these days :) I would love to have a very natural peaceful looking fish that schools back and forth in the tank :)

Ahh right, yeah, they're nice a peaceful fish that you could have a shoal of. They will breed readily, but they and other fish will eat the eggs if not removed.

There are hundreds of tetra species, hardly any of them are nippy - the only ones I can think of that are are serpae tetras. If you want a really nice shoaling fish then I really like penguin tetras. They don't look much on their own, but are tight shoalers and in a good sized group look stunning.

can't decide what I want! It's so hard! I do like the dwarf neon rainbows as you said, though, too...oh my goodness my head is going to explode! So. Many decisions! But I also want a schooling fish and don't know if Daisy's rice fish or dwarf neon rainbows do that... And are they top dwellers or middle dwellers?

Holy moly! And it's only beginning!

Dwarf neons definitely do - see here for a picture from aaronnorth's journal. If you look at the pictures from this journal, you can see that the rainbows are always schooling, and they tend to move in different heights around the tank.

I don't know if the rice fish school or not, sorry. I've never kept them as they're impossible to get over here :(

Once you've decided on your stocking and drawn out a plan for your plants, you'll feel much happier. That's what I did, and now I'm at ease with the world :p Despite having veterinary medicine exams in a week and a half

Unfortunately, not yet! We may be moving soon...and I didn't want to set it up and have to take it all down again! It's getting really hard to be patient

Ahh, that's rubbish! Have you decided what you're going to do as far as CO[sub]2[/sub], fish and plants you're planning on yet? Always a good way to busy yourself while you wait. I've been getting pretty much everything else that I need for the tank (filtration, CO[sub]2[/sub], lighting, background, etc.) while I'm waiting on the final missing pieces of new pinsettes, scissors and a drop checker arriving from China  Takes aaaages. Once they come though I can just fire away with ordering plants seen as I have my list finalised and have decided where to buy from.
