ok, I am going to try and make this as detailed as possiable in hopes to get the right advice that I may need. I had a 29 gal. took it down and placed my fish into a 10 gallon due to remodeling the house awhile back. My hubby went and bought me a 100gal. I took all of the old things out of the old 29, washed it, p[lace it all in the 100 gal, along with new riocks, and some new plants. I added the water...... water got all milky...i know this was from the rocks, washed them the best i could though..... with in a day with everything running, all was almost clear. I went to the pet store to get some hardey fish to start cyling the tank with....I would say about 4 days after setting it up. There I was told about 16 mollies would be enough to cycle the tank of that size... so 16 balloon mollies is what i got, and was also told to get "Prime" this I guess would remove chlorine, chlooramine, ammonia, detoxifies nitrites & nitrate, and would provide a slime coat on the fish. So off I was with 16 fish, and 3 bottoles of prime. All was great....the next moring I had 1 dead fish, but I knew she was not going to make it due to she was already missing a fin....and swam sideways...did not know until after i was home though.
3 days all was awsome...... then over night my water got all cloudy.....I did not know what happen. I was told it was the tank cycling, and it should clear up over night, to not do nothing to the water, and do not add anything, unless I needed to replace the evaperated water. a week and a half later....and still the same, and lost 2 more fish. Last night I went and bought another filter.....this one for a 110 gallon, and also have one on there for 50 gallon..... and replaced the evaperated water., and added some of the primes since my water is tap. Today 1 more dead fish, and water is worse. The ammonia and the other levels are good in the tank, and normal, so what could be killing the fish, and why is it not clearing. I also thought that maybe food, so I started feeding every other day, and just a small amount....... that did not work either. Any advice or tips are sooo welcome.
Here are some pictures.......

How are you checking the water stats? Do you have a liquid test kit or the strips? If you have the strips, get the liquid. Post the actual numbers after you test it. Are you adding the prime before you add the water to the tank? Seems to me that the tank has a cloudy greenish hue to it, maybe someone with a bit more experience in this respect will come on soon. Could it be an algae bloom?

Test your tank every day and do 25% water changes daily. Please correct me if I am wrong. That will be the first step.

Ok..... it is the liquid test that I am using, so good there..... the results are
Ammonia 0..... however this one was a close call from 0 and 0.25...but seemed more yelow than green to me.
Nitrite 0
I do add the prime in the tank, and also add some into the tap water itself..... I do not think it is an algee bloom...no signs of that, however we just bought 3 algee eaters and placed in that tank last night whn we got the new filter. I thought about the water change, however was told to wait until the cloudyness cleared up some...was told "do not touch nothing...just add water as needed for now".

Okay - here is a good resource for what to do to cycle your tank with fish already:
http://www.fishforums.net/content/Tropical...-Tank-Syndrome/

I wouldn't worry so much about it being cloudy as I would keeping an eye on the ammonia and nitrite readings.

Add the prime to the water before adding it to the tank sinch it is a dechlorinator. Chlorine, from what I understand, will burn the fish - why you shouldn't just flush fish.

I hope this helps to start.

If you stay on top of your chemistry and do enough water changes to never let ammonia or nitrites get above 0.25 ppm, you should be OK. Do not let your water go bad on you just because you want a faster cycle. The prime will not remove anything but chlorine / chloramine. What it does is make many of the chemicals in an uncycled tank a little less toxic. Its purpose is to treat new water that you are adding to the tank, it is not for treating the water that is already in the tank.
Like Madam Macaw said, you need to do water changes when you see ammonia or nitrite start to build in your tank, otherwise you may end up with a cycled tank with no living fish. Please do not add more fish until your cycle completes, that includes algae eaters. More fish means it will be harder for you to keep the water parameters where they need to be for healthy fish. The fish-in cycling is frustratingly slow because you cannot afford to let the ammonia or nitrites get as high as you would for a fishless cycle. A hazard that we seldom think of is dead or dying plants. Plants will add nitrogen as ammonia to your tank just like fish wastes. In a new tank, its not unusual for any plants that are becoming established to shed a lot of leaves. If that happens, remove the dead leaves promptly to minimize the impact on your water quality.
