Need Ideas For Fish For A 10g Tank

hey guys.

my fiancee has a little 10G tank at her place and she's thinking of changing her fish. she currently keeps female bettas and one lonely german blue ram. the ram is not doing too well and so we're thinking of re-doing the entire tank.

what fish would you recommend that:

1 - can live at least 2 in 10g tank
2 - can thrive in medium hard water, ~7.5ph, 80-90F (hence why the ram isn't doing well)
3 - are not disease prone (i.e. no gouramis)
4 - are pretty and/or "cute"

i know this is a big order to fill, that's why i'm ressorting to you guys. we had moderately good luck with female bettas.
she likes the idea of an all male-guppy tank, but doesnt like the idea of them dying off often (would they?)
she also liked the idea of a proven pair of kribensis but I dont know if they would be ok with such a small tank.

what would you recommend? keep in mind the requirements above.
