Could be an occtocinlus and they don't grow very big. Non aggressive fish.

Really worried I may have a timebomb on my hands with 4CAE. Definitely no more room in my place for another large tank unlees I get rid of existing fish or turtles which is NOT an option. No way will I ever abandon my cichlids, big plecs or rescued goldfish. Not fond of CAE which are prety menan and not very attractive to look at.Cichlids are aggressive too but at least they are beautiful with lots of character. The suspect CAE came with a school of beacons and a red tail shark. Other tankmate is my old 3 spot gourami. So far all fish are behaving themselves but then the "CAE" are still small, the youngest only 3cm.Too big for ottos though, largest already >10cm.

it sounds like an oto cat to me i own one and they get about two inches and are really passive peaceful fish
plus fun to watch (sometimes) lol
