Hi Please help,

my golden molly has black spots on her/him ive got some white spot treatment and started treating, removing the carbon filter and adding the blue liquid, its a 6 day course but is there anythin else i need to do?

Also my silver mollys swimming abit strange or not which is the problem it looks like the water pumps blowing her/him around, however when i open the lid shes the first one to the top for a feed, shes also looking quite fat could she be full of eggs? how do you tell?

any help or advise would be great thanks

First thing, mollies do not fill with eggs like some fish, they fill with fry instead. A molly will get large and her belly will sort of start looking squared off, then will deliver anywhere from 20 to 80 fry. It is unusual to see all the fry because most fish think small fish are fish food. I don't know what you are facing with the black spots on the fish. Could it just be their normal color? White spot treatment is for a disease that is also called ich. It is a parasite that spends part of its life cycle away from the fish. It is in the time that it is away from the fish that the treatment actually does its work, it has no effect on the parasite when it is actually attached to a fish. I would suggest pictures of the infected fish and post a new thread in the Tropical Fish Emergencies section where people more knowledgable in fish diseases can help you. I have managed or been lucky to almost never have a disease in my tanks so my knowledge of treatments is not very good.
