is it okay to run blue lighting for a tropical tank a night?
as we all do... i would love to be able to see the tank after dark, without it being a problem for the fish and plants?
what are the options for night lighting if there are any?

my tank currently has:
a 5'' Featherfin Catfish (Synodontis eupterus) - which i know is a nocturnal feeder?
Convict cichlid
jack dempsey
red finned shark

yes people have blue lights....marine blue lights....I have on my tank, sometimes i switch it one after lights out to see what they do,,however there is no need at all to leave it on all night lone, after all it is only for you to see what happens...it would be a waste of money to leave on all night....all of my nocturnal feeders will eat in the day time, as long as they work out when feeding time is they will appear out of the blue for a chow down
