Last week I bought 4 glow tetras and 12 neon tetras (one died), and Ihad from before 2 mollies that I had bought about one month ago. One of the mollies is pregnant (I think), and I have separated her in a maternity hang little tank by the side of the aquarium. Yesterday, my daughter's boyfriend found this little, but really little fry in the water and rescued into another side tank. I do not know what to do with it, or how to take care of it. I really want to breed the tetras, but this baby came before I could not learn all about it. Please help me, since I am in love with this little baby, and I do not want it to die. i appreciate your help. :hyper:

My best guess is that you have molly fry, not tetra fry. It is possible that it has been living in the tank since before you seperated the pregnant molly. If this is the case, it is very possible that you have more but have not yet found them. Check carefully.

Fry are not difficult, make sure your water stats are good, feed regularly (3-5 times per day) and keep their tank clean of uneaten fod and fish waste.

You can buy dedicated fry food from your LFS or just crush up some flake food very fine.

You are right to seperate t from the other fish as it may get eaten until it is big enough to look after itself. ie. when it is too big to fit into the other fish's mouths. You can buy a breeding trap for this purpose from your LFS which would allow you to keep it in the original tank.

Hope this helps. Good luck. :good:
