Hey guys,

Well i just wanted to show you my Tank now... been a while since i last updated and put up pictures...
basically just stripped the tank down to start over with new plants.... I got a uv sterilizer on this thing now... so it should be clean ALWAYS lol.... anyways.... here's the tank layout right now..just need some ideas.. of some plants i can put in the tank.... i want somthing that looks semi professional.. nothing that needs to be class act.. just to make it look... somewhat real..
i'm not really the best with layouts.. so any opinions would be apprecaited. I'm running about 2.5 watts per gallon so i'm pretty good lighting wise.. i got the red sea flora base, i got fyi co2 going on, basically everything is fine.. just need help with aquascaping.

I really like this scape :) needs a bit of work but the central wood covered in java moss works well (though think the moss could use a trim to make it more compact), especially with bits of the wood sticking out. To my eye you have two options.

1) You could plant around the central wood with stems (perhaps even just one species, like the valls you already have) to create a surrounding 'wall' with the moss in the centre, could look quite nice so long as the stem plant/valls dont get to dense. Maybe a carpet of something along the front as well.

2) Move the wood to the left next to the valls and create a triangle scape, going from high on the left to low on the right. You might need to add something between the valls and wood, to create a more graduated effect and also something to the right of the wood, say some micro/dwarf sagittaria to create a low carpet on the right of the tank. Then perhaps a lotus or Ech plant on the far right to break up the space a bit?

Just my thoughts :)

You might want to move the filter inlet to near the CO2 diffuser. The side with the diffuser won't have much water movement if your outlet is on the other side of the tank. The lack of water movement will attract algae, but also result in poor CO2 distribution as that's where your diffuser is.

Both are great ideas, i have no done much scaping so i wasnt aware what i could do. I realize the low to tall scaping. I like your traiangle idea.. could be interesting. maybe do the val's then somthing else.. then the wood... then.. maybe dwarf grasshair??? do you think that would be ok ?

Also i'll trim the java moss to create a more compact feel to it. Thanks for the input i apprecaite it... learning all the time :)

So your saying move the inlet right in the corner with the co2 diffuser??? if that's a good opinion i could try that.. or i could move it behind the vals'... whatever you guys think is best.... I got a uv sterilizer.. so i dont have algae problems.. but i dont want poor c02 distrubition... what's the best way to get optimial distrubution... besides.. injection into the filter (fluval 304)
