Need Help Unexpected Betta Fry

I agree with lisie they are extremely hard to see for me anyways. What I do is spray paint the bottom of the growout/spawn tanks a color and it helps me to spot them easier. Oh and I spray the bottom of the outside not the inside :p . The green color on that male is awesome.

Spraying the bottom of a breeding tank is a good idea. I have mine in my regular tank since they are to small and fragile to move. There is about 2" of gravel in the tank so my boyfriend thinks I have some hiding since they can still move in an out of the gravel with ease. I also have real plants in there that I sometimes see a fry snacking on. I have been feeding freshly hatched baby brine shrimp and the 2 I see regularly look like they have full tummies. Do fry sleep alot? I ask because when I first turn the light on in the morning I see no fry . Then slowly one emerges, then 2 and so on.

awww, glad you're having fun with them  I dunno so much if they're exactly sleeping, but they do like to stick close to the folds of leaves and the like. There's probably way more than four. I've had spawns that looked like 40'ish...and turned out to be 100+

All I can say is ohhh boy lol. I will have to make a betta wall if that is the case. These are veil tails so I doubt I could sell them and I'm not sure I could they are my little ones now. I fed them some baby brine shrimp a few minutes ago and they were zooming eating them lol

Oh I don't think you'll have a problem finding homes for them if need be, especially since it's a small spawn and the parents are gorgeyous! :D

Do you really have 39 bettas? Where do you keep them all? I am very excited to see this spawns colors

Actually it's 40, I just changed it before I saw your post... 19 of them are females in a 55 gallon tank, and the rest I have in little tanks and kritter keepers all over my dresser and shelving. I have a TINY room though, so there's really more fish room than people room in there. ;)

And it's definitely exciting to see fry grow and color up! :hyper:

I understand that I have a small room with a 55 tropical tank, a 10 frog tank , and 4 betta tanks ranging from 1- 2.5 gallons. I have no more rom unless I create a wall with shelves to hold small tanks LOL.
