Hi all,

I have a 110 litre tropical fish tank with the following in it:

1 x Ruby Shark (5cm)
3 x Tiger Barbs (3cm)
6 x Black Widow Tetra (2cm)
4 x Columbian Tetra (4cm)
1 x Syno Angel Catfish (5cm)
2 x Dwarf Gourami (4cm)
I have Gravel & Croc Skull for decor

I know i need more decor and maybe more fish but dont know much about fish and not sure how to make it a better place for the fish.

What is best to do to my tank PLEASEE????

hi there, what exactly are you after?

if you want ways to be a better fishkeeper then you couldn't go far wrong with reading the pinned topics at the top of this page, make sure you understand the nitrogen cycle fully, understand proper tank maintenance, stocking etc

Hi Jasper,

When newcomers show up at the "New to the Hobby" section here, we generally like to check on the circumstances of the startup of their tank. This is not to be prying into your own business but just because many, many beginners come here having stocked thier tank per LFS instructions and before its really ready for fish. Often they arrive here when the tank and fish are brand new and prior to things starting to go wrong and the fish starting to die. This is part of why MW above is suggesting the reading, as it may initiate some questions or comments from you that would let us know whether the fish are potentially in trouble or whether it indeed makes sense to go ahead and focus on tank aquascaping and other decoration.

If your months of water/filter prep are behind you and you've got a handle on the nitrogen cycle etc. then yes, there are some nice sections on TFF where people post pictures of their tanks and fish and their planted tanks, many of which are quite beautiful. That's a good first place to get ideas and then there are threads where various tips are given about principles that people feel can help in the design of attractive aquascapes. Often, what you are asking for is best handled with some posted photos (people upload them to picture sharing sites like photobucket, imageshack, flickr etc. and then add an image directive with the url into a post I believe.) Then if you make it clear you want serious criticism of the look of the pictured tank, people will offer up some suggestions usually.

Anyway, hope this starts to get at whatever you were asking...
