need help on me angel

hi there the other day i posted about my angel having a fat stomach. i was told that i sound slike constapation so i am treating that now. As i have been looking at him/her today along where their top fin is just were it joins the body there seems yo be a brown/ almost maroon discolouration. what could this be?? there is also spost of it on the head.

I no brown spots can be a parasite infection, is the fish flicking and rubbing against objects.

Depending on the type of angelfish, a bit of redness there could be normal coloration, or could be a sign of septicemia. Golds & other lighter angels show a little of this as normal coloration, but just a little. If it just showed up in the last couple of days, and especially if it is a darker fish, I would suspect septicemia.

Hemmoragic septicemia is a nasty bacterial disease that has caused some angel breeders to shut down & start from scratch. It takes out a lot of fish in a short period of time. Oxytetrecycline hydrochloride can save some of them if started immediately. It's real strong stuff, you have to be careful of your dosage. http/www.fishyfarmacy.com/products2.html sells it in the U.S., I don't know who would sell it in the U.K. I think if you pm CFC, who is one of the mods here, he may be able to help in that respect.
