Im no help but I just wanted to say that you got yourself a nice scape going! :p

1. Star grass I think
2. Not entirely sure, however it will loose it's redish look and turn green if not supplied with massive amounts of light.
3. I used to have this myself just don't remember what it was called... almost like micro swords

I'm no help either but I'd love to see how your plants progress, and hope your fish don't do some gardening!

I think the third plant is dwarf sagittaria.

Lovely looking set up; that's going to look stunning when everything's settled in and started growing!

thanks peeps for taking the time to view the pictures!, my dad self-designed the tank. but i would need more help in what type of fish to put it into.

2nd plant could be a tiger lotus.

To advice you with fish we would need to know your water parameters (hardness!) and of course you have to tell us what is your idea, a shoal or a few large fish?

the size of the tank would be 31 gallon, and i dont get what you mean by hardness. pH and kH levels?

What look are you going after? I would recommend smaller schooling fish and perhaps a few otos and shrimp. Clean and simple to bring out the scape :)

i already added some otos and shrimps when the tank came in, smaller schooling fish which means?

Smaller schooling fish are things like neon teras, harlequin rasboras, cardinal tetras and so on. 31 gallons isn't a huge tank so do some research on what type of fish would suit the tank, then go looking at the LFS to see if you like them.

Depending on the length of your tank, neons may not be suited, they're small but they love to swim!
