Hi...Today my Black Moor has a white....mark?...above his right eye. I haven't added any new fish in the tank for a while...and I checked him all over and all my other fish and see no other marks so I think I have ruled out Ick....is it possible he swam into one of the tank decor? Is it an injury?
Is there a treatment I should put into the water to keep it from getting infected/help with the healing?

I will try to post a picture for tomorrow - my camera's batteries are charging :/

How many gallons or litres is the tank.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Need to look at size of tank first and water quality.

Any redness to the white mark.
Is the white mark on top of the skin or beneath.
Is the white mark fluffy like cotton wool or bleaching beneath the skin.
Anything sharp in the tank.

35 gallon - 24 inches long.

Nitrate: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Hardiness: 75ppm
Chlorine: 0ppm
Alkalinity: 0ppm
pH: 7

Temp: 72* F

Established for 8 months
Could a coral-esque, cave decor thing have damaged him? or some of the plants (fake anubis etc)

The white spot seems to be small and on the upper layers of skin, and does look like he got splashed with a drop of bleach! not puffy/poofy at all. felt it this morning and has no discernable texture different from the rest of his body.

Acting completely normal also! Eating/swimming as he always did!

Your tanks severely overstocked.

I would rehome the goldifsh as for 4 you need a 50 gallon tank and a 100 gallon filter. As there massive waste producers.

Your test results look odd to say its overstocked.
Your nitrate reading abit unbelievable. What's your tap nitrate reading, and do you have live plants.
Whats your ammonia reading.

Is it a white mark or a spot.

Oh god...all of the fish in my signature are not in ONE 35 gallon tank!!! holy toledo! that is between 4 tanks!
I have a water purifier on my tap...I never use straight-from-the-tap water. I am also extremely diligent about water changes and replacing filter cartigages.

as for the 4 goldfish, they will be rehomed into the 70 gallon tank I have - I am in mid-move to a larger apartment and that was the first tank i disassembled because it would take the longest to start cycling again.

as for Bubbles, my Black Moor, it looks like a tiny white mark.

what other fish are with the black moor?

Doing daily water changes of around 50% add aquarium salt to keep the water sterile, then see if it develops or gets better.

Normally, in the 35 Gallon with the Black Moor, are guppies, a couple neon tetras, a couple ruby zebras, a couple snails, and a couple pepper catfish.

Right now there is all the above and the 4 extra goldfish and 1 young striped raphael catfish.
I am doing daily partial water changes due to the extra tank mates and once i finish moving in the new apartment (first week of NOV) I will be resetting up the 70 gallon for the raphael and goldfish.

I will contrinue the water changes and add aquarium salt to see if that helps Bubbles! (Black Moor)

well, that might affect the other fish then, that tank IMO is only big enough to hold the BlackMoor, you have mixed tropical fish with Cold water fish. This is another reason to maybe why its feeling ill, water changes are a must, id up them to about 75% until you have put them in the new tank.

If no signs of flicking and rubbing the white mark could be columnaris.
