As i woke up this morning i look at both of my gold rams and on one i noticed some red blotches under the skin. they look as if they were bruises. another thing was on both of them on their heads above their eyes there looks to be a bump or something sticking out. i have no idea what this is and need help

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Bleeding beneath the skin is hemorrhagic septicemia, hard to cure was it progresses.
The bump can you describe it in more detail, does it look hard or liked filled with fluid.

thanks for replying

the tank is a 25g
only have 2 gold rams
i know the ammonia is 0.0 i tested it yesterday
i dont know the other stats becuase i dont have nitrite and nitrate testers but i did a 40% water change today just in case
today is the first day i noticed red blotches and bumps
the bumps definetly look hard they dont look as if fluid is in them. one of the rams has a bigger bump then the other but is in the exact same place. It kind of sticks out about 1.5mm. Its not wide at all. kind of looks like a pillar

How long has the tank been set up?
Take a sample of your water to the lfs and tell them to write the readings down for you.
I would strongly suggest investing in liquid test kits in nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

The lump does it resemble a caulifower.
What colour is the lump.
I would add a bacterial med to the tank, but to be honest it's not looking very promising.

for only 2 weeks

the lump is the same colour of its skin so light gold. and nope it dosnt look like cauliflower i dont think.
Damn that suks. i will get some bacterial meds and hope for the best i guess

Did you do a fishless cycle.
As it strange not to have no ammonia reading in two weeks.

yea i thought that was strange 2
and no i didnt
theres already lots of algae growing on the walls lol
i have another question
if these fish do end up dying, will it be safe to put some more fish right after or will the water be contagious?
how would i do that?

To be honest I would take the fishless cycle route.
Fish have to go through the ammonia and nitrite process which takes it toll on the fish, it can burn there skin and damage there gills.
You need to do some reading up on the nitrogen cycle.

If a fish has septicemia the bacteria can enter the tank water from the fish.
