well tomorrow is Wednesday, and wednesday is new tank ordering day yay

i will let you know what i've decided TOMORROW , looks like i may get that filter.....not sure yet, depends on what price i can get it for

at the moment i'm thinking.....

Juwel Vision 450 (in Black)
Eheim 2227 external Filter (With media)
Plain Black background for the tank
Natural looking Gravel
and some plants.

I'm soooooooo going to have trouble sleeping tonight.

i was going to do 50% water changes out of my two other tanks giveing me 120litres of "good" water in the new tank.

Top up the 330litres with conditioned water.

take gravel from both established tanks and add new gravel. also add a few live plants.

also put some filter media from both other tanks in the jumbo filter on the new Juwel. I'd also add a little to the Eheim. Run the tank for a few days, test water and temp and then add my Golden Barbs.

what ya think?

I voted Vision.
I have a Vision 180 and think the Vision tanks are lovely.
BUT if I could chose again between a Vision 180 and Rio 180, I'd go for the Rio. Purely because it's a tad longer but same volume. Also a lot easier to add extra light tubes and reflectors.

That aside, I prefer the look of the Vision tank. And no, it doesn't distort the view at all. I believe that only happens with the Trigon 350.

In this case, the Vision is clearly a larger tank, so that plus the fact that the bow front is just lovely - would be my choice.

the Vision 450 has 4 x 36w lights anyway, so doubt i will need to upgrade them, the Rio 400 only has 2x36w

I'm glad it doesnt distort the view of the fish, i went to another fish shop last night to see if they had the vision on display, again they only had Rios and Rekords.

Well its DONE!!!

i didnt get the Eheim 2227,i went for the Eheim Pro II 2028 with extra tubing, also ordered all the gravel and media for the eheim etc.

oh and the tank........
