Cane: in the video the tank looks to show the fish Normally? ie the curved glass doesnt do any weird magnifiying effect? i hope this is the case if so then i think the Vision may be the one to get.

I just want to be able to see the fish how they should be :D

I would go for the 450 especially if your getting a deal more litres equals more fish options & can't be bad

You shoul dactually get a better image with the curved than the glass one. perspex (or whatever it is which most curved tanks are made from) is closer the light refraction rating water than glass so you are getting a more precise image than glass.

curved tank
better "picture view" (hey sounds like a tv add, lol)
really bad effect if view right on the corner (not really an issue with large tanks)
scratches easier
lighter

glass
heavier
more sound (in theory)
harder to scratch
image less perfect due to large change in water/glass refraction

basically take all into acount and choose what you want

just been to another local fish shop...guess what! only one Juwel Vision and it was only the 180 so really hard to judge what it would look like as a 450.

They had a Rio 240 which looked impressive (was the biggest tank in the shop) so the Rio 400 should look amazing, but then judging by all your comments the Vision 450 is the one to get.

Think i'll order the 450 on Wednesday, if i'm NOT happy with it i'll blame you lot :p

Cheers

Paul

PS don't suppose any of you have some good pictures of a filled up Vision 450?

i just got a curved tank, the juwel trigon 350, it looks cool as, go for the curved one :D

I have just been thinking and i see that you have two other aquariums. how close will this new aquarium sit in relation to the others?

Why i say this is that if the others are rectangle and the new one is bowed, the vision my look out of place. however if it is on the other side of the room i would still go for the vision

i will probably get rid of the other 2 smaller tanks, or may keep one upstairs as a quarrentine tank.

Basically the new tank will be the only one in the lounge
