So some of you know in my 20 gallon without knowing the harm I put a docile male betta with a docile male honey gourami and you guys said to separate them the issue is I already have 3 other tanks with bettas in them and there all like 5-5.5 gallon. part of me wants to keep the honey gourami since I already have other bettas but if your a betta owner you know how you can get attached to one so I’m just stuck and I need opinions. also where would I rehome the Fish?

Watch and see. Some people here said it wouldn't work, but you had noted it was going okay. I would never suggest you make that combo, but it's done. If you have a real honey gourami and not the big red thing sold under its name you have a better chance of peace. If the problem starts to develop, then you know what it is and that you must do something. Look around for a local aquarium club or a decent independent store, just in case. But since they've both been docile so far, roll with it and see. Maybe add some Najas (guppy grass) or hornwort as floating plants.

I’ll add guppy grass and ya he’s a yellow legit honey gourami and my local fish store puts there bettas in bowls and I don’t think they resell fish (long story) so we will see
