I was wondering if you can use a big see through plastic tub as a tank.
The Reason I need help fast, is because I can't use my computor at home, and I'm at my grandma's for the night.

it depends, woud it be permenent? how big is the tub? what kind of fish will be in it?

if you do do it, it needs to have the basics such as a filter of some sort and a heater if theyre fish that need warm water.

They should be OK. I've done it before, but I can't vouch for every tub made. Keep an eye on the tub as you fill, it will bow, they are not made to take that sort of weight. You don't want a side splitting, that much water is more of a mess than you want to have to deal with.

yes, it would be permimit, and I don't know what fish, most likely puffers, goldfish, frogs, and/or something albino.
it's 18.5L, out of all that, what can it hold out of that list?

Fishcoop,

You have been asking lots of questions especially over in Emergencies. Why not give us more information. Do you have a tank or not? Do you have a filter and heater? What fish do you have left? Do you understand the concept of cycling? Maybe read all the information in the resources section at the top of the "Your New Freshwater Tank" and then ask specific questions.

Also, do a bit of research on fish. Goldfish are coldwater fish. Something albino doesn't mean much as there are many fish that can be albino. Also may different puffers and often need different conditions and some very specific. Frogs? Well that is wide open. What frog? It would help if you did a little work first and then we can help you along.

P.S. Please try not to post the same question in lots of sections. I think now you are in the right section as it is clear that you do not have a properly set up tank.

sorry, I've only been takeing care of fish for a week or two, so I'm not used to this kinda thing.
I only have a two gallon tank, (my mom said it was a start :/)
I already have a Goldfish, and a Albino Frog.
I have this thing that blows bubbles, is that a filter?

Hi Fishcoop.

Okay, sounds like you have a 2 gallon tank with an air bubbler. That is not a filter. Thing is that without a filter you will have to change the water in your tank and clean the gravel every day or two. If you get a filter, which sucks water through a system of sponges and other materials and then puts back clean water, will let you get away with cleaning the tank once a week. You see, your fish and frog, poop and pee and that raises ammonia levels in the water which will kill the fish and the frog. I'm guessing the frog is more sensitive. It is like if you had to live face down in your toilet, you wouldn't last long. So you have to clean it up for them. The filter will do part of that for you but you still have to clean once a week.

Now with a goldfish, you should know that it will eventually outgrow that tank. Goldfish grow huge, so with the goldfish and the frog, you have no more room in the tank for more fish. You have to look at how big they will get not how big they are now.

The last thing is that goldfish are a cold water fish and don't need a heater. Almost all your other aquarium fish need a heater. I'm not sure about your frog. He may need a heater so you better check that out. Many fish and frogs can't survive in unheated water.

Check the web for fish tank filters to get an idea of what is out there and what they look like.

Hope this answers some of your questions.
