I have a 20L tank with a betta - the filtered has stopped working.
I dont have a spare filter.
My only option is to transfer him to my 160L tank.
So is my betta compatible with a red tailed black shark, 2 gouramis, 1 mollie, 1 swordtail, 16 tetras (black neons and cardinals) and 2 threadfin rainbows?
My betta isnt very aggressive or particularly active and my 160L is full of plants and hiding places. Will he get along with the above tankmates?
thank you :)

Do you by any chance have a breeding trap/ net that are usually used for guppies and things? You could put the fighter in one of these in the larger tank and everyone is safe.

I wouldn't recommend it. The Gourami's won't like him. and he won't like them.
If you must, do your best to find a trap like Baccus suggests.

How long would he be in the tank for? Betta's can breathe air and will gulp it from the surface, so they can survive in rather low oxygen level conditions. The power went out at my house one night when I had my Betta in my 20 gal tank with a group of Ottos. The power was off for 12 hours and all the fish were fine when the power came back on.

a Betta should be okay with just water changes until you can get a new filter.
