Need Help About Lighting

Ive been wanting to change the lighting in both my tanks for sometime now but mainly the small tank.
what i want to know is what would be better T5s or LED taking into account the cost as well.
 
the small tank has an opening at the top of 40cm x 40cm
and the bigger i believe is 40cm x 80cm
 
other than that has anyone got any websites they recommend for lighting...im in the UK just as a heads up

Ive been looking at GU10 style LED lights and fittings from Ebay.,  10 Bulbs for £20 and £8 for the holders.

Not sure what the output is like but for the sake of £28, its worth a try

It might depend a little on what you want your lights for...
 
If you simply want new lights to see the stuff inside your tanks then a cheap and cheerful solution is a no-brainer...

If you reply on your lights for plant growth then you might need to look at something a bit more than the above.

Very good prices. I believe I got Medium/High lighting for £180... Whereas for LED's it'd have cost me well over £300
