I am setting up an aquarium at work but unfortunately I stupidly told the service users (young learning disability) and now its all i am hearing, I got somewhat told off for telling them when the tank will take a while to cycle and they all want 'Nemos' now!

Would it work to run the filter in my tank for a few days and fill the tank 50% or so with water from some of my tanks, then use some aquasafe or something?

Would this work? How would I know if it was still going to spike?

Wow! my mouth gets me in some stupid situations

p.s the tank is safe from prying hands its set into the wall with clear acrylic in front.

Quickest way is to clone the tank with some substrate and a filter from an estabished tank. Don't bother with the tank water as the amount of bacteria contained is negligable compared to the substrate and filter media.

Take a little cycled media from each of the tanks you have at home for the new tank you plan on cycling. This will give you an instantly cycled tank.

Sweet! Thankyou guys, this is the kind of thing I should know by now, I'v just never needed to rush the process before.
