If you've had fish die and plants rotting in your tank you need to do a large water change, as large as you can, replace with fresh dechlorinated and temperature matched water and keep an eye on the remaining fish for the next few days.

How long have you had the tank? How big is it? What are all the fish you have in there?

white female molly and male had for a while now but she died to day tanks new they been ok have 2 old ones untill i put this plant and 2 new female mollys in with them the tanks holds about 40leters of water cresant shaped well looks like a D it a 2 foot wide and from bk to front 1.2 foot front circumfrence is 3ft and depth of 1 ft

i just ot the plants at weekend so they shouldnt be rotting didnt think u could change a full tank either when i have babys that are 2 days old in there

How long is a while? Weeks? Months?

I know the type of tank you mean.

If you match the temperature of the new water to the old water with your hand, and make sure you use dechlorinator then you can change as much water as you want. Just be careful when removing the old water not to suck the fry up.

What does the plant look like? Sometimes shops sell plants that are not suitable for putting in a fish tank, and they can rot and pollute the water. Or the plant you bought may not have been healthy.
