Hey sooo
My girlfriend won two goldfish at a carnival i told her it was a bad idea but she did it anyway so i got a 5 gallon bowl for them *Before you bombard me i am fully aware its not the right size for goldfish *  here is my problem i could put them into the tropical tank but the warm water is not too good for them  i have a pond but they will become snacks fast  how to let them grow big enough so i can put them into the pond ?

you can get a large bin of some sort, put a bubblier in it... and carry on how you would with any other fish.

No, it doesn't have to be see through, it does need to be big enough to allow them to grow so you can put them in the pond eventually.
You'll need to do regular water tests & changes especially if you haven't got a filter

Agreed. Any water tank doesn't necessary need to be see through. It's more of a personal preference really. You could actually get a bigger tank volume using bins/pens than what most conventional 'see through' glass tanks can provide

And at a fraction of the cost! And they're less breakable!

It's really only because nearly all fish (with the exception of fancy goldfish that were deliberately bred to be viewed from above) look better sideways on that we use glass tanks at all. Even really brightly coloured fish, like blue rams and neon tetras, just look darkish grey or brown from above.
