I was at my LFS yesterday, and was looking for some more plants for my tank, but they didn't really have anything in, so i was about to leave when i noticed they had some pond plants just outside of the shop.
I was looking at them for quite a while, and finaly i decided to buy some. Purly because of the amount you got for the price.
I thought i would take it home and was ALL of the mood off, and then put it into my tank.
Job done no?

Well now i'm having second thoughts about putting it into my tank, because i'm worried it might have parasites on it and it might contaminate my tank and fish.

What do you think?

Pond plants and aquarium plants are generally grown at the same place. Quite often they are even grown in the same ponds so if there are parasites in the water then they will be on both pond and aquarium plants. Most plant farms also don't keep fish in the ponds so the only real problems that might arise from getting pond plants would be snails, leaches and hydra. All of which can come from any freshwater aquarium.
