I have a 37.5 litre tank (think its 10gallon) and i am after getting some new fish, problem is I dont know what fish would mix with my black neon tetras.
I am considering getting either a pair of kribs (pelvicachromis pulchers) or cockatoo cichlids (apistogramma cacatuoides). I also have hard water in there and ph is fairly high.
I have owned rams in the past and bf had some malawi cichlids so i plenty about aggression within cichlids.
Can anyone help me decide between the two? which is better for the tank?
Any advice welcome...

I'm sorry to say i think the tank is too small for either, certainly no way with the Kribs but i'm pretty sure too small for rams too.....sorry :( .

1 male betta might be ok with black neons but I can't think of any cichlids that can go in a 10 gal.

thanks for the advice, do u know if my tank would be too small for shell dwellers????

Never kept them but you may be ok with a couple. I think a lot of people would say not to but i think you could just about make it work.

ok, thanx 4 the help :) dunno what to do now lol -_-

Do you not fancy the Betta?

Your tank is perfect for shelldwellers! Your neons will do well enough with them too, as long as you have a large enough group.
