Hi all, just decided i want a wrasse for my reef system but the question is what type?. The first thing to establish is that i have a large boxfish and i don't want a wrasse that chases it round the tank trying to clean it, as the end result will be the boxfish getting pi**ed off and nukeing everthing. This limits alot of juvenile wrasse so i need some advise. My only request is a striking fish with an arrey of colours and also not a dragon wrasse. My system is approx 150 uk gallons which is only stocked with a couple of clowns, pacific tank and yellow tank so there is plenty of room. Oh yeah there is a royal gamma which could cause conflict with a wrasse.

Coris gaimard or Thalassoma bifasciatum. They are predatory, but not as much as a dragon wrasse. Gorgeous fish. I am not currently planning to keep either one because they eat worms, and I couldn't do without my multitudes of spaghetti worms.

Cheers for all the suggestions, the two that you propose Lynden are very striking particually the Thalassoma bifasciatum. I have got a few bristle worms that i wont miss so this could be a good choice. How do these fish compare price wise?
