Photos taken under halide bulbs and colours exactly the same here as in test results.
Testing every 12 hours after taking the tests I have been adding Ammonia to raise it back to 3-4ppm

Would you say the tank is cycled or not....rather confused now!

Should the results go like this ? or should it go straight to the light blue (rather than purple first?) if it is cycled?

What does your manual say about the nI test? does it say add X drops invert then wait X minutes or does it say add X drops invert and compare to color chart?

sorry out dropping kids off...back now :)

Um add drops shake and wait 5 minutes read result. (API Master test kit)

As I mentioned before all the test results from the last 2 days have done this :S

Excellent both 0.

So purple to blue is correct?

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

SO excited

SO if thats correct...and I keep feeding ammonia it till friday when I can do the water change add water treatment etc get the temp up then on saturday I can get the water tested at my(very reliable) LFS and look at a few :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

its a huge tank so many fishes (GRADUALLY) over the next month or so Ohhhh cant wait

If not RUN OUT AND GET ONE NOWWWWWWWWW. You will need a new back after a few water changes. I have a hard enough time with my 55. I need a Python with all the tanks I have, but can't afford it. Was supposed to get one for christmas but did not happen. :grr: Got computer speakers instead.

Thanks Squid....its looking ab bit crap at the moment as the algie has built up a bit and the water is very "tea-stained" from bogwood cant wait to change water and make it look a little better...with any luck my plants will come from Java on thursday and I can drain down by 70% on friday then plant and refill...it will start looking like a place fish might fancy living :D

your will get there....sometimes it can take ages...but at least you know when its done its safe for the fish
