Hi There peeps,
hope everyone had a good xmas and new year, well mine has been weird firstly my dog nearly died then just as we were waking up on xmas day we came down to find my Bronzed Black Oranda (Bubbles(i know its a bit of a fishy name

)) dead. She had been showing signs of swim bladder and then showing signs of external infections and i was treating for swimbladder using interpret {just to add there are 3 other fish in tank all fed exactly the same water parameters are good and water is clear, been running for a good 4 months as is},
any way half way through treatment she popped her clogs so i finished treatment for other fishes benefit as my other Oranda (Coco the Chocolate Oranda)had been getting external white patches on his wen which i thought may have just been growing patches which i had read about.

Meanwhile new years day in my nursery tank suddenly my largest baby fish (about Guppy sized but with bigger belly) starts going belly up and so i started treating the nursery tank as i used some media and mature water to help kickstart this tank as i didn't get time to do an eggless cycle on the tank lol, but sadly she started showing signs of finrot which i asume is stress related maybe then just died.

Any way to cut a really boring sad story short i lost another baby fish yesterday then went and saw MBOU who once telling her that i thought it was some sort of worms or parasite maybe causing the probem and she gave me some magic powder

which i treated both tanks with today.i looked after an hour and in the main tank i could see like worms in there poop and also see little clear strands coming of there scales so fingers crossed all fish looking healthy and happy Wahoo.

So really just to say
thanks.gif

Awesome!!

Don't know how much it will help the problems you mentioned directly... but indirectly... it will help th adults certainly and such alow low dose on the last baby wouldnt hurt.

Odd that your adults had such a high parasite burden but there ya go, maybe you'll find that you might need to follow up with an anti bacterial medication once this new medication has worked its way through to prevent any secondary infections (if they are shedding ecternal parasites too! which might explain external problems you have been seeing?). We shall see!!

Just dont forget to do that gravel clean tomorrow! I'm dreading the system lol hundreds of fish pooping out worms. Yummy, just what i love on a Friday!!

Oh and I forgot to look for that V8 Pondseal tonight though remembered I do have two of the smaller bottles of clear Gold Label silicone you have. Bought it for my cousin and was paid for it but the tank got scrapped and I will double check but think it is still in my car somewhere (its a bottomless pit of oddities! and things id rather not identify LOL) but if i find them, you can have those next time i see you, i have no use for them at all! Been in my car nearly 2 years lol.

Give me a shout if you need anything!

lol soz had no Broadband for 2 weeks fish still alive though, just wondered is it worth following up with another parasite flush as from doing my dogs you kill the woms but there eggs rehatch and you need to redose just wondered if was same for fish?
and that would be cool if you had any silicone
Ps cut my traffic cone and put it in the tank just need a tyre and i'll have my british pond
