having been put off juwel tanks and getting frustrated not being able to find anything else i like i am thinking about getting a tank made by nd aquatics 48x18x24 inches. has anybody had a tank by them and if so are they any good?

48x18x24 inches black cabinet clear silicone joints black background condensation cover 300w heater £415 including delivery ( which is 55 quid!!!) looks stunning on their site . have worked out that with filter twin light controller 2 tubes and co2 system just about stays within budget.

A few people on here have had large custom build tanks from N&D and have been happy with them.

Nothing against them... I wouldn't know.

But isn't that a standard size? What's the benefit of having it custom made?

Ive got a 5x2x2 from them. Tank is solid. Stand and hod is average quality. My only complaint is that with the constant opening of the hood the screws that fix the lid onto the hinge have come loose due to their short lenghth. Easily fixed though.

yes 48x18x24 is a standard size but im looking at them because all the package tanks that i have seen in the colour i want are ####e and i want decent quality tank. and to be honest the filter lights etc that came with it would of been changed anyway so may as well just get a good tank and get my own equipment . have been speaking to a fella from these forums in harlow who had his tanks built in his home by nd and he had nothing but praise for them . plus i can have the rear panel black if i want and have either black or clear silicone and choose my cabinet style . so instead of paying 425 for a crap package tank and then well over 100 on new equipment i may as well just go for the good quality tank and get the equipment i would of got anyway. after all its going in my living room so i want it spot on
