Hello Poeple

I am sending my red tail black shark off to boot camp. Firstly he terrorises my danio and Lemon tetra at every feeding time, for about an hour. Secondly I have just seen an adult size. and he I think he is to large for my tank anyway.
I have found a good home for him.

Can anyone reocommend a good algea eater that will do a somilar job in the tank as the RTBS. he ate all of the bad leaves on my plants, aswell as munching on algea.

What about Polka dot loaches and the like? Theses are quite interesting.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

Kind regards

snails are great algea eaters and mainly eat dead leave

the small tank cleaner - otos. But thye're really sensitive and die easy. Some people here think they die from starving though and lack of food.

Everyone gave good adivce - snails, BN's, ottos, let us know what your tank size and other occupants are and we can help you more! :)

Apple snails will eat dying plant matter like leaves, but if your plants leaves are dying a lot you need to check out whether your plants are actually suited to your tank set up (they may not actually be true aquarium plants, your lighting may be too weak etc).
How many gallons is the tank and what fish do you have in it? We can't advise you any fish until we know this important info.
