well the nano tank i put up recently aint doing too well, the sags are stunted and only the anubias(aside from its algae covering) is growing, im attributing this to the dead substrate i used... well here is the catch.. the only substrate fertilizer i can get easily is sera floredepot (and it only comes in sizes good for a 15 gal min, the nano tank is only 2 gals) so i was thinking of using mud.. mud that i can get from the garden to add err richness to the substrate... is this a good idea ??

I've heard of people using soil from the garden. I think you're sposed to put a layer of gravel on top tho, to kind of cover it I guess.

Have you go a fish in this tank? If not I wouldnt hesitate to give it a go.

there are a couple of bolivian rams in the tank, the tank is cycled and i think i can move them to a temp tank for the duration of the subsrate modification.... :) im gonna do it this weekend so i still have time to research, im also gonna redo the tank and add more driftwood and moss and maybe riccia again :)
