Hi all,
I'm a product design student who has been keeping marines for a few years. I'm moving into a place where I will have to pay the electricity... so my couple of hundred watt reef set up is for sale and I'm setting up a low energy tropical tank.
For this tank I'm attempting to keep the wattage as near as or below 20W. So far I've completed the tank specs and lighting, which I will now share! The tank will be 350x250x250mm with something a bit special which I'll disclose later...
Ok, the lights are 2x 3Watt LED's being driven at 700ma. This should give a good level of light for the tank. I'm not sure as to whether I will be adding lenses to the LED's yet, we'll see how it looks on the tank.
So far it has cost me a total of... £00.00
using bits and pieces I happened to have laying around
Unfortunatley I don't think the rest of the tank will be so cheap!
Thanks for looking!
