What carnviorous fish are there that can live in a 80 gallon reef. I have two small percula clowns, a yellow tail blue damsel, a yellow watchman goby, a pyramid/turbo snail and a green finger/leather coral. I bought a load of live shrimp for the fish to eat, but only after putting them in the tank did i realise that they are two big to be eaten by any of the fish. They have just been eating all the leftover food that my hermit crab died of starvation. I am looking for a fish that would fit in my tank and would not eat any of the fish, snails or corals, but would eat the feeder shrimp.

A Scarlet hawkfish perhaps. Gorgeous looking fish and they have great personalities as well.

Thats exactly what I was going to suggest :) Depending on the size of the shrimp and the size of hawkfish though it may not eat them (if it is small and the shrimp are massive :) ).

I would just keep the shrimp as cleaners. And when they breed, their larvae will become plankton and get eaten by the fish and corals.

Are there any other fish that I could have, maybe a dwarf lion, or would it eat the snail and other fish. I am keeping the hawk fish in mind but i am thinking of others as well. Are there any that are not to active but can still be viewed and are good looking?

The dwarf lion wouldn't eat the snail but it would have a go at your other fish if they look small enough to eat. My suggestion would be a wrasse of some sort, such as a small Thalassoma or even a Novaculichthys. These will both eat ornamental motile invertebrates, as well as worms.

To be honest though, if it were my tank I would just leave the shrimp.

I suggest this to eveyone, but a Fu Manchu Lion will only reach 4", looks great too.
