on sunday i bought a flame red betta

simply gorgeous colour, and he was reserved for 5 weeks...
but they guy never collected :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
so my LFS gave me a call and i was down there in a flash.

now... when i say red.
i mean RED.
i'll try and get pics up soon, but this guy is redder than a ferrari B-)

and on closer inspection...
has red EYES!
sooo...
for those reasons,
i have decided to call him
"Diablo"

what do you guys think?

Does than mean he's faster than a ferrari? ha ha ha can't wait to see pics. :)

Sound super! Have you got him a heater yet? He really needs one asap. I hope that he has started eating now.

he doesnt have a heater yet,
but he's a LOT more active, and eating... i think

ill try and get pics up soon
:):)

update:
turns out he had a romantic relationship with the filter...
and got stuck
now he looks like a bloated tadpole :-(
but as long as he can regrow his fins, and survive... i dont care how he looks :*
very concerned...

are there any things i can do/buy to help him re-grow quicker?

Clean water with lots of water changes will help fins to heal. You can also try melafix at half dose, or bettafix to help ward off infection, but I'd try the water changes first. How bad is the damage?

the damage was quite bad,
but he seems to be healing very well :)
ive been doing 50% changes weekly, and the water seems fine :)
