Mystery Snails

Hey everyone, I've had two of my mystery snails die within a week. They were fine one day and then they were dead the next. Anyone able to shed some light?

Did anything happen to the water like a temp change or something?

Nope.

Maybe they are just old.

what are water stats , have you added anything new etc, cant say without more info.

might sound daft, but are you sure they were dead, sometimes snails will hide in there shell if the water is not right etc?

They were, I checked by lightly pulling on the door. My lfs said they will pull back. That water stats are fine as the tank just finished cycling (I just recently moved back to PA).

couold there be copper in your water

What did you feed the snails?
Did you add any copper-based medications to your tank?

They would get a mixture or algae they found, algae wafers, and then when I changed the water I put them in a cup and let them munch on lettuce. Very small amounts. The water here is pretty bad...but they never had a problem with it. I went home after school let out, and they were fine. No medications have been added
