Hey Guys,

My Water is not right again.

I thought I had Solved it by Using Easy Balance.
It worked for the Fighters and Fish Stopped Dying.

I could Not Save the Following Fish though = Rubberlip Plec, Glass rice Fish and My Fireheads(they Jumped Out) + And My Gold White Mountain Clouds, My Oldest Fish.

This Week I have a Strange Smell Coming From the tank when I did a 2nd Water Change this Week.

The Water smells of "Coriander" and Looks Furry. thats the Best Way I can Describe it.

Any Thoughts, Or would I be Best Using Bottled water - or Bringing Water from My Parents House for water changes.

I will Update My profile.

I guess the reason you have no replies is that nobody knows! Sorry but I can't help either but hope you sort it out. The only thing I can suggest is that you do a water test on your tap water to see if the parameters in there are okay. In ours for example the nitrate level is about 20 so we can never go below that.

Have you thought about ringing you local water company to see if they are adding anything new. You are obviously an experienced fish keeper so I guess you've tried everything obvious.

Other than that I think I would take out various media (like mopani wood, rocks etc) bit by bit and see if there is anything in the tank that is causing the problem.

Have you been using a different type of food? I dunno hun. Hope at least I've given you somethign to work with. :/

Thanks,

Severn Trent have Said that Due to all the Pipes Being brand Spanking new and the Water being piped through these is Picking Up residual Metals along the Way.

It should clear up within a Few Months.

Guess I'll have to Bring Water From Mum and Dads for Water Changes untill it Clears Up.

I was Hoping to add new fish to the tank this weekend. Ohwell it can Wait.
I am going to 2 Car Boots over the Weekend Looking for a Slighly Bigger Tank, as a Hex is a little Awkward in a Croner Position.
