Ok since I live in Sussex I thought I was right in thinking we had very hard water...

My water board emailed me with the results and it came up with this..

Total hardness as Ca Mg/1 50.52

Total hardness as Calcium Carbonate, CaCO3 mg/1 126.29

English degrees Clarke x 0.07 (9)

According to PFKthis is about 7 GH / DH.

Am I right in thinking that is true? Isn't that quite soft?

My parents agree with me also since they say the kettle doesn't get limescale.

This would be fantastic since I've wanted rams for ages!

Anywhere between 4-8 dh i would consider soft, 8-12 dh slightly hard etc.

So your water hardness should be ideal for Rams.

That is great news I shall buy some (I will try to persuade my parents to let me borrow more money.)

I might try to get those Ramzerai ones.

German blue rams are stunning fish.

I have kept a m,f,f trio in much harder water and they did very well so you shouldn't have any problems :good:
