Very nice samage it looks good after all that work you have done on it

Now drive safely

Great job you have done there! I had 2-1974 Super Beetles as my two first cars.....great cars. One was orange, the other blue. :)

cool car, but I gotta ask, why are these so popular to restore, you see alot of them sitting in garages around here, so why a beetle?

They're fun little cars, with very wide appeal. They're popular restoration projects due to their simplicity - great for the novice restorer, like me, as they can be used as a learning curve for restorative techniques and also their toughness - if it's been abused in the past the damage probably won't be too severe whereas many classics would be irretrievable. Their toughness also means that once running they don't require all the TLC and messing about that goes with running a classic.

And then there's the costs - good Beetles are appreciating over here in the UK, and it's often a lot cheaper to restore a crocked one than to buy a decent one - not to mention much more satisfying :D.

good work :D

I'd love the time and room for a project like that..
My other half wants a purple and chrome bug...

It might just have to happen :D

I'm so glad you carried on with the restoration Samage. All your hard work has certainly paid off :kana:

now my task for u is to restore a 1960's bubble car :)
