So I got a little money to my name, this week. Went out and bought a few new plants, so my new plantlist reads:

*1 big Red Cryptocoryne Wendtii
*1 small Green Cryptocoryne Wendtii
*2 Marimo balls
*1 tiny Java fern
*Many stems of Hornwort, at least 7 that are 'floor to ceiling' size
*Many stems of Anacharis, at least 2 that are 'floor to ceiling' size, and 5 that are mid sized.
*Anubius Nana (new)
*Anubius Coffeefoila (new)
*Anubius Barteri, "v. round leaf" (new)
*Watersprite (new, not pictured)
*Unknown Crypt (new, picture below)

I know my tank still looks like a crime scene, but it's getting better :D In a week or two, I'm going to tear down my tank, add a layer of Laterite, and put everything back.

On the subject of my 'unknown crypt'. The person at the shop seemed to know a bit about plants, and told me they were fairly sure it was a Crypt. Anyone have a clue what it is?

Looks like Crypt. Walkeri to me.

Thanks. I've been eyeballing pictures of plants all night long, after a while, anything small with spade shaped leaves starts to look like what I've got in hand. I don't mind not knowing what it is, but it is rather irksome. NOIDs are annoying little buggers, you're never sure they're getting the care they require...

MMMMM
i could be wrong here but looking at the picture to me it looks like a bic lighter . i got 6 from the pound shop today .not sure what that green thing next to it is
:)

I agree definitely bic lighter.

I don't know the leaves look a bit roundish for Walkeri. Other possiblities are C. willisii or C. parva. All three can be confused for each other, but my walkeri var. lutea is a bit taller than that, at least the parent plant is. I have little plantlets that are much smaller. But their leaves are also much more narrow, like a lance. Yours seem more rounded.

I, however, could be totally and completely wrong. :p

I went to plantgeek to look up photos, and parva seems really... grassy to me, more like guppy grass than what I have, maybe it's one of those common names that apply to so many plants it's a useless name?

Ah, well. I'm fairly sure it's a crypt, in any case. It's melting. *laugh*

I'm melting, I'm melting, aaaaahhhhhh. I'm melting. Stupid girl with bright red shoes. Oooooo shoes, I like shoes!

 Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too. When I saw that it was melting, I went, "Aw, maaan. At least now I know it really is a crypt."
