DA, the fish are the result of a chance color variation that has been reinforced by selective line breeding. Be aware that a light colored front and orange back has one name, a fish with a white band in the middle has another name and a fish with an orange front and light back has a third name. If you breed these fish, you get all 3 variations from a drop, but they are almost always sold based on the color pattern that develops, not based on the genetics. I don't recall the names for the variations of color but you will always see them advertised with just one of the names.
