my tiger barbs in a rare photo op!
they were all on the left side of the tank, grouped together following me coz they thought i was gonna feed them
sorry bout the reflections, the tank is located semi-outdoors so there's no "off" switch for the lights heheh plus these guys move around so much id never be able to catch them with long-time exposure
also how do i know when theyr fully grown? they've grown a lot in 2 months.
The one in focus in the back is the Alpha (usually
)
The one on the left all puffed up is The Little Fish That Could, the last remaining of 3 given to us in a tiny fishbowl, he used to be the smallest (hmm... i think he still is when he isn't puffed up). His second stripe also doesn't go down all the way on both sides. He now frequently challenges the Alpha (the clearer one on the right), like in this picture
This one's stripes are a lot greener than the others'. Unfortunately, this little guy also seems to be the Omega. Oh well, there has to be one. No injuries or signs of any bites tho.
EDIT
Here's some pictures of their other companion, a Chocolate Plec. Might have to find him a new home tho if he grows bigger (contrary to what the lfs ppl said......... *sigh*)
size compared to the tiger barbs
again as you may notice these are all on the left side of the aquarium, as the right side has many hiding places for both barb and plec
