it started off as a goldfish tank, (someone on my street was gonna flush the goldfish, thats how all this started,...
then a local pet shop convinced me i needed a plec or 2 to keep the tank clean, and also told me they were coldwater fish,
well after doing a lot of research i found out i needed a heater, and a bigger filter, then my aunt donated me some tropical fish, ( blue gourami, and 2 dalmatian mollies) then i put the goldies in another tank (then later i made a pond) the tank just got upgraded as and when i had the money/found out more about fish and stuff, i am still a big time newbie, but getting better all the time, partly thanks to the people here...

haha yeah, if i knew how much money and time this hobby was going to cost me, i wouldnt have taken on the 5 goldfish,
but then again, when i'm sitting there watching all my fish, it really is worth it... for that matter, the first time i saw and raised fry made it all worth while,

i dont think i will ever have a really cool artistic looking tank, like a lot of people here, but i do love my fish, and i'm trying to make my tank look nicer...
i have 2 future projects, a coldwater tank, and i am starting to fall in love with bettas i never even heard of one before i came to this forum, but they are such pretty fish...

my fave fish at the moment are my koi in the pond, and the small coldwater fish in the house, they are surprisingly interesting, my fave tropical fish are gouramis

That tank has got some History.....lol How big is that tanK???... Anyways that's how i got started with this obsession too, not with a gold fish though, but with a 10 gallon that my sister bought and a month later it was converted into a 33 gallon and i'm still not satisfied.....lol..... Anyways your tank looks alot better now compare to the first pic....

Looks like you have a lot of fish in there! I hope you have good filtration with that big 'ole plec in there aswell!

i gtot a fluval 4, it does the job, i fequently test the water, it is very stable, i know the plec is too big, but i cant part with it, its very nice looking, you dont get many sailfin plecos around here

i am givig my sister a few mollies each week, i made here a tank a few weeks ago, and now the water is ok, i am letig her have some of my fish each week, so there is about 10 less fish in mine right now, and i do plan to lighten the load further, because i know i have too many mollies
