Good choice on the Platys. I think a lot of people discount them because they're "common" but from where I'm sitting they're lovey, colourful, happy, community fish..........tho maybe I dunno what I'm talking about as I've had not yet lol. I'm certainly gonna be getting some though!

I totally agree, I love Platy's, they seem very happy and the colours are amazing!

For the plants you have in there, don't need much in the way of c02 to be fair. It might benifit you to buy some easycarbo or flourish excel. The most cost effective plant food I have found is flourish by seachem.

Thanks for the tip, i'll have a look around online for some as my LFS only seems to do the API stuff for plants which seems pretty expensive.

I've found that you can buy moss balls on ebay for £1 and you get a big discount on p&p when purchasing multiple buys. I brought 5 moss balls and got 2 for free and they look fab!

Thanks Beth! I'll take a look now... I take it you just unroll them then tie them down to wherever you want the moss? Like ontop of a coconut shell, or around some bogwood?

I've finally managed to pick all the coloured gravel out now, so it's looking much better. 6 days and counting till I get my two bulldog plecos!

Just an update!

I've just got my two new additions Two weeks after initial change over.

Here they are in the bag at the moment, just acclimatizing them.
