right after seting up my tank as far as i can see it still looks cloudy i have put the suff in i got from the fish shop but as we live in a hard whater place i like to no if you think this ok i am useing sand and i have no fish in there yes as i got told to wait till the week end

The sand cllouded it, did you rinse it well, it will clear, then you will get a bacterial bloom which will cloud the tank up.
I would suggest a fishless cycle.

so i have just got to wait then is that what your sayin and yes i did clean the sand thanks

Add some filter floss or mating to your filter it removes fine particles.

i no that feeling but i am geting there the wife told me shw neew what she was doing but i think she was just biging her self up as she is in the dark as much as me

I know.
I jumped in just wanted a tank worst thing you can do.
There is alot to learn so you keep your fish alive.
