I am kind of wondering what this last one is, rescued it from a friend who couldn't care for it any more. I was told it is an eel, but I can't find even a spiney that it looks like. Any help is greatly appreciated.

LOL Love the idea! Reminds me of my grandmother's old TV. How many gallons is it?

The "thing" in the last pic I have seen sold as a dragon fish. Not sure what the Latin is for it.

EDIT: Found it: Dragon Eel - Gobiodies broussoneneti; Also called: Dragon Goby and Violet Goby

Thanks Ann, appreciate the help.

It is a 30, but I can make them up to 55

so in a 30gallon you have 4 bala's, 1 angel, 1 common pleco, and a violet goby? *i thought violet gobies were brackish*

Actually 2 Plecos, the one in the pic is just the one who likes to be seen, and he is over 12 inches, so it is hard for him to hide.

The eel is as far as I know fresh, at least it has been in mine for about a year, but it hasn't grown much, and he eats like a demon. I have been looking online for info for the last few minutes, and the pics that I can find of the Dragon eel do not look exactly the same. they have a wider head, and are colored a little darker. But they look pretty close.

The Angel, that was my daughters choice, but the eel is kind of brutal to it. I think I am going to move it out.

Senegal bichir is the ''eel'' fish in question..

as someone else said, too many fish for the tank.. I'm not going to try to convince anyone to change.

I would agree, the 55 is getting ready. They are all doing well, and growing, but the eel is not growing.
Where can I find more info on the Senegal bichir. I have been looking all over to find out what this thing is, and how to care for it.

Do I need to go bigger than 55?

Damn you know your fish, I entered it into google and it popped right up. thank you. And I would still appreciate any help you might offer on the care of this guy.

Guys I am still learning about all this stuff, I am not an expert by any means. I appreciate any input, but I do not want to be talked down to.

I am here seeking advise, and I would like for people to speak to me as if I am an adult.

I am not trying to offend, but I do not want to be offended either.

:(

Great set-up and fish!

thanks Res
