Well alot has changed since i set up my 3ft tank. It seems like an age ago since it was done but its only been 2 months!
First of all im now well and truly addicted to this hobby. I have 2 tanks in my garden to clean and set up and would have more if my GF would let me
My most recent fish is a BN Plec, nothing to exciting for all you fish lovers who have been keeping Plecs for years, but its my first ever plec
Iv called him Arastotle:
Another thing that made me smile was my female guppies. They all seemed to give birth for the first times within a week, so from Feb 1st to Feb 7th i had ALOT of babies. Not all made it, i have 4 female guppies so some were eaten, some got swept into the internal filters and some just died. I kept them in nets to start with:
But after a few days i realised they needed more space. I got a sheet of plastic from my LFS, the stuff used as codensation trays in tanks, and seperated off about 1 ft f the tank. The babies seem much happier in there:
The funny thing is, one of the fry has stood out since birth, the father of the babies (I hope!) is my only male guppy Eddie (after Eddie Murphy aka The Golden Child), here he is:
And here is a picture of the fry:
Again it may not be exciting for too many people but im really happy! And yes i know im a little sad naming my fish >.>
So yeah, my aquarium is happy, in a month my fish will be rehomed in a community 4ft tank which im looking forward to and hopefully i will have more guppy babies to raise
Il leave you all with a nice pic of my shrimp which came out to say hello
Thanks for looking everyone!
