great start.
put a dark background say black on the tank. will make the plants and fish stand out.
remove the fake collosium on the left. add more drift wood. maybe some val along the back of the tanks. some amazons swords would look great. Put a few pieces of red rock in there as well.
but great start

I'm a huge fan of the underwater Parthenon. I say keep it but follow all of his other advice.

Parthenon i knew it was that. ahh. mind blank.
if your going to keep it. raize it up on some red rock to look like a mountain and use potted hair grass to plant up around it. would look amazing.

I agree that a black or blue or dark green background would make the tank look a lot better. Or any other background that you like, although I'd suggest picking dark colours (dark background adds depth to the aquascape).

Keep the Parthenon. Some people, including myself, don't really like that kind of decor, but that isn't your problem. People have different tastes.

looks great! as said before i dont really care for non-natural ornaments. It would look very nice if it was backed up with plants around it. sort of a horse shoe shape to make it look like a centerpoint for that left side. i would recomend valls and amazon sword. if you have good lighting micro sword is very nice and grows rapidly.

how big is your tank? watcha putin in it?

thanks all!!! reeally appreicate the feedback1!!

i was in the pet shop today and saw some rocks and thought how great they would look too!!

its 40 inches wide and very deep/heigh so plenty to play wiht

fish wise - gawd knows! except definately guppys! really love em!

im going off the sharks etc as i know people have said how big they grow + is like more fish than just a couple of sharks and 2 fish lol!

i know have my backing which is quite colourful - ive seen another (on ebay lol) that is called'rome' which would look great with the ornament i already have in (got it with the tank)

im defiantley adding wayy more plants - for cover fot he fish.... but not too many

thats a really nice looking tank, and have to agree that a black BG would look great on it,,,, but your on the right track.. keep us posted ;)

thanks :)

wouldnt believe i got it off ebay?!
lol!

bargain it was imo !!

Lovley Tank, I would however get rid of the oranments and go for a natural look, and yes add a black background. Apart from that great start :good:

thanks guys!

am keeping the 'rome' thing lol!! my mum likes it n i really do too!! i think most ornaments look tacky, but i really like this one!!! :)
..... sorry lol!!!!

have got the background now so will post pics when i can!!! :)

another pic!!!!!

im really please with it so far!! ive order another 25 plants think its more like 5 bunches.... which will go nicely..

had to put my goldfish in there for now for reasons i said on my other thread,,, am planning on re-homing them in spring next year :)

Tank looks really good :good:
If you are having plants you might struggle with the bubbles (that rhymes  ). something to do with co2 escaping too fast because the water surface is being broken up???
nath1 :good:

you mean the plants up rooting and 'swimming away'???

i'll move the bubbles over slightly or move the plants towards the left side of the tank.... i love the bubbles lol!
