Nice fish i think it would be good if you had a few more fish that swim all over the tank to fill it up a bit all your fish hang around the bottom.

If the ropefish does try to eat the corys when it is bigger it will most likely die as corys flick their pectorals out and rip the throat of its predator...

It may well be ok, Alot of fish will simply leave corys alone as they aren't seen as a terratory or food threat and are an armoured fish.

I would however be interested to see if the ropefish sucks the snails from their shells!..

What other tankmate plans do you have and do you realise the potential size of the ropefish?

Ben

thanks for the comments! I've read about how big the ropefish get and I will get a larger tank once they get bigger. Everyone gets along fine actually! The ropefish dont bother the cories at all, and as long as they're fed regularly, they seem pretty docile :) I just picked up two marble shrimp, they rock! So we'll see if everyone plays nice for now, so far, so good! :good:

I loove the rocks in your tank, what are they?? and where did you get them from??

you're fish are lovely too, my OH wouldn't let me have them tough, they're too much like snakes for him lol, dafite!!

ceilidhgirl: I just picked them up at my local fish store :) That color and type seem to be pretty standard around here, although im not sure what type they are. :( And a few hours after I put my shrimp in, one of them molted! :)

Looks really good ;) I like those rope fish btw :D Look like Eels! Anyways very cool ;) You should get some schooling fish though ...

I love the colour variations and the lines of colour in them.

Whereabouts in the world are you Kevin?

ceilidhgirl. I'm from Connecticut, US. Every fish store I've been to in the vicinity in CT and NY usually have the same types of rocks, I liked these the same reason you do! :good:

:shout: doh!

I'm in Glasgow, Scotland.

Bit far away to come pick some up :(

Thanks for the info though.
