Looked in my tank today and most all of the fish have ick very bad! I can't believe it. I have had fish for 30+ years and never had ick.
I've been reading some of the threads and have increased the temp from 85 to a little higher and will raise it more tomorrow. My heater doesn't have temperature marks, so I just turned the knob a bit. Tomorrow I will go to the store and get some medicine. I don't think there is much of a selection of medicine at the store, but I'll see what they have.
I haven't lost a fish in months, but did add some new neons last week. Possibly they were infected, but they looked fine when I bought them. I perform a 1/3 water change each week and the ammonia/nitrate levels are usually fine, but I haven't checked them this week.
48 gallon tank. 2 angels, 8 skunk cories, Congo tetras, black phantom tetras, pearl gouramis mostly. I pleco, 1 zebra botia, 1 gold molly+ 1 juvenile molly.
Any advice is welcome.
