My Tank And Fish

Here is my 215 gallon tank built into the wall..
Behind it is a fish tank room where I have the filters and pumps..



gee I guess I got to make these pictures even smaller if I am going to get more then one per post..

still trying to figure this posting pictures out... different then on other forums on am a member of...




not sure how I have to keep adding a new post yet it keeps adding to the same post... but I like it...

whoa, . I wish I had a saltwater tank. Do you need to cycle a saltwater tank? I want a clown fish, they look so clowny...

Yes you do have to cycle it... the only real difference between fresh and saltwater is the salt.... until you start adding fish and plants and stuff

I really like the look of tanks built into walls. They really can be a feature in a room.

You should try placing some trim around the tank where the wall is cut around it to neaten it up a little and make it look as though you're looking through a window.

Otherwise a great set up.

Since i am planning to get a 120 gallon in my wall i was wondering how do you clean the tank ... feed the fish .... place tha plants and rocks? Can I know you said there is a fish room in the back so do u pull it out or something? And lets say there wasnt a fish room in the back how would you do it then?

I just walk back there and I have a stepping stool to get up high enough to clean it out... and do all the feeding placing etc...


Now if I didn't have a back room what I would do is either have a large opening above it that has a false wall that you could remove for doing that work or I would build a back room

well I built the room myself (literally) I was on the framing crew when I was building my house last year and designed the toom from the ground up and me and another guy framed it out.

The tank and eqiupment and setup and all minus the fish and rock cost about $3,000...
